Default lights

im in the market for lights and i have some questions, i have a pair of hella 500s, can i swap those out for the upgraded 100w lights bulbs in them? or will i have a problem with melting because of the difference in output intensity?

You could overheat the wires and cause a fire, melt some part of the housing, or you could be okay doing it. Especially leaving them on for a while. I have 55 watt bulbs in my PIAA's, and never even considered swapping them for a higher wattage bulb. I definitely wouldn't do it, it's not worth the risk..

You could always convert your hella's to HID. I have a set of 700's that have 55w 5000k HID's in them and they are beyond bright.

Just need a drill bit, dremel, and maybe some epoxy.

the lighting difference is quite intense, but only having two wouldnt fill out my new bull bar, and theres no place to hide the ballasts, and it would be 170 to buy new lights and the hid kit. This has opened my eyes to buying hid lighting. I think im going to buy the hella 700ff. So itll be the two huge 700ffs then hella 500s then the fog lights.

I'd be curious to see that. Because you have to drill out the housing no matter what so a "kit" beyond just buying some h3 hid's would be rather pointless.

If your obsessed with HID driving lights, just get some HID driving lights. They aren't cheap, but here's a set of KC's for half price.
At least they'll be in a proper housing and distribute the light correctly.

KC HID's
