haha its just what i needed, at first only the diagram came up and im like this isnt too hard and then i went to quote it and then i saw all the explaination, and my thought was my truck blowing up, i just saw it as a wiring nightmare, my brother could have helped me do it, but i despise him. and then i just thought of the switch being the safer option
Using a relay IS the safer option. If you wire a switch from the headlights back to the dash, the high-current is carried through all of that wiring. By using a relay, the switch only carries a low current to turn on the relay, then the relay sends the high current over a short wire to the lights.

Nope. Still diving. Did two dives today. Second dive was shallow, max of 38 ft., but we were down for 1:01, and still had 1,000 psi. Unfortunately if we continued, we would have gone under two massive cruise ships.
