Blue, none of your MPG mods are blocking the lower air scoop are they? Silly question, but thought I would ask.

Also, I'm looking for CAI ideas and I was curious how yours is made up? Especially curious how you handle the switchoff from cold to hot.

Dont know what it cost but becool radiators will custom build an all aluminum radiator to fit anything you want. Doesnt hurt to call and see what they charge.

No, nothing covering the lower "scoop"
Only the main grille block.

I have some other things to take care of, but the radiator will be soon an upgrade for sure. I am going to try and find something perhaps from a stock replacement viewpoint to upgrade, but we will see.

I called the pepboys hot rod shop and they recommended be cool as well. jegs and summit put them at 400+ so I did some ebaying. I bought this for a fraction of the price:

It also looks pretty sweet.
The size should fit behind the tie bar and I can fab up some brackets. The inlet and outlet match as well so we will see...
While I was at it I picked up:

Oh, and as far as the CAI/HAI I simply created a heatsheild. Simple but effective. I'm going into a redesign mode though. Technically speaking, for my stock cam and specs my intake should be 3" by 14" long for optimum design. I have it a bit longer right now so it would turn back to the front, so I'm going to be cutting that back, and then redoing my sheild.
So, Winter, I sheild the hole for the fresh air so it gets engine heat.
Summer, I sheild from the engine heat.
It's a simple design, and actually just made up of a few layers of some plasticy material I found on a jobsite. I think I"m going to be making something much nicer this summer.
