You will rip plasti dip up with high pressure water. I had 10 Coats on the eclipse, had to hand wash and rinse. (Btw. 10 coats of plasti dip on a car takes around 18 cans... if anyone is feeling frisky.)
Now that I know what my grille looks like if it does come of then I will just paint it.
Plasti-dip is really good if you just want to see the difference it's gonna make and if you don't like it, you can easily peal it off.
With mine, I sanded the chrome off with a power hand sander w/ 200 and 320 grit, sprayed adhesion promoter, etching primer (2 coats). But I used the duplicolor bed armor roll on bed liner and painted it on with a small paint brush. I put about 2 coats on it.
looks good,probably more durable with the thick coating .im sort of old fashioned though, i like the chrome . if they werent so expensive id like to get the spider web grill pattern, like this.....
