Default How much would my dodge approximately be worth?

2005 Dodge Dakota 4x4 ST (<--- basic model?)
85,000KMS, babied like no other, inside and outside is in excellent condition, oil changes were done regularly with synthetic oil, other tune ups done, a year ago I put new tread on them (BFG All Terrains), still have the older pair of highway good year tires probably with 2-3 years left on them, never been off road

Lightly driven, mainly only drove to school and back (10km), to work (20km) and to the gym (5km)

Within the 3 years of me having it, I put 30,000KM on it

New speakers and c.d. player in it and a subwoofer

Anything else needed to know?

Wondering what it would be worth in Canadian dollars.

Quad cab or extended cab? V6 or V8? I would just do a search of whatever used car internet sites you have looking for a similarly equipped Dakota. Is there a Kelly Blue Book for Canada?

KBB is a pretty bad estimator. Its inflated in the dealership's favor.

I'd advise you use Edmunds or NADA. NADA is the most widely recognized, and if a dealership starts flaunting KBB in your face, you can throw NADA back in theirs. They will laugh at you if you bring up Edmunds, but not NADA.

As it is a ST model, I am assuming it came with the V6 and very few options. Based on that assumption, depending on the other options, NADA and Edmunds peg your truck to be between $10500 to $13000 private party value. Thats American.

That is about the same in Canadian. The Canadian and U.S. dollars are so close in value right now, that $13000 U.S. equals approximately $12980 Canadian. $20 apart is nothing when we are talking thousands of dollars. Keep in mind, your results will vary, as I have no clue how the truck market up there is doing. Down here it widely varies. Down south, for example, trucks are relatively cheap, and 4x4 means nothing. In the midwest, where I live, you almost pay a premium for a truck, and you definitely pay a few thousand more (or even more) for the 4x4.

Good point, it is a 3.7L V6. There is a kelly blue book but didn't wanna go out of my way to get it.

Also, 4x4 does mean a lot where I am, can change the price of a truck form $2000-$4000.

I was guessing my truck would be worth $11,000-$12,000. I bought it 3 years ago for $13,800 (got a good deal from a friend dealer) and the taxes were ****ty too though.

Also, the front break pads, rotors and calipers got replaced about 2 years ago.

18290 was offered at my dealer. My truck has over 100k Used trucks in FL are at a premium. I should take the deal with another 8k off a new Ram but I will not buy another Dodge.

A dealer offered you $18290 for your truck (2007 with over 100k) and you turned it down?

Default Yes I turned it down

If Ford will do the same deal or even Nissan the I might go for it on a new F150 or a Frontier but never another Dodge.
