so you can save a few bucks.

& if you want a CAI ,definitely do a thread search for the home made CAI posts on here. another way to get it on & save some $

rockauto.com will be your friend,lol...i could probably claim them as dependants on my taxes now

Rancho has a rebate promotion going on as well (Dak Part #'s Front RS5757 & Rear RS5315)

Both Monroe and Rancho's are the favored shocks here. Monroes are going to be more affordable, while Rancho's are billed as a bit stiffer and better for "offroad" You could go Rancho RS9000XL for your rears if you want to go rock jumping style offroad

Whatever you do don't go OEM!

Some new companies have appeared recently with shocks for us, like KYB. I've not read about anyone here testing them out yet though.

The filter I bought was the drop in filter but I will I will look into this custom CAI business. What filter did you use?

Before I order this is the leveling kit I want, the pic of the spacers is just incorrect right? In the instructions link on the bottom is shows the aluminum spacers.

It depends, some are aluminum, some are rubber. If it concerns you, I would call and ask to be sure. I'm not sure if there is a real difference, other than the material. These types of spacers (the "in-strut" style) will add some stiffness to the front. Bobby is running the 1.5" in strut spacer with rancho shocks. I believe he reported it firms up the front end really nice. I have the "over strut" style 2" spacers with Monroe struts. I dont feel that much different over the stock struts I had other than it does not "wallow" like a huge cadillac going over dips in the road like before

Thats a nice looking truck there. Love that color. I think that is the second best Dakota color there is, next to Patriot Blue...hehe

My TM 1.5" kit was simply an aluminum puck, and also running Rancho's all around. The front end is definitely stiffer, but I'm real happy with the combo.
The 8th position of your VIN will tell you which engine that you have.
There's a pretty good deal on the K&N cai right now, $218.

K&N 57-1546

Nice looking truck there, Welcome.

The color matches the Skeeter ZX225, it is going to look nice on there. I'll post a pic when I have it attached. I like the color but I like black too because that the color of POR-15 and in the northern part of the country it can come in handy

Dakotaff - What tires/rims are those? That is a great looking setup! Is that just the 1.5" leveling or is there a lift also? Any trimming to get them on there.

I will take a look at that K&N thanks. Anyone interested in buying a kidney? Might not be the best way to fund this operation but it might work.

This was the RAM I sold last year with flowmaster exhaust. I miss it but not the gas mileage.
