Lower Radiator hose, Something inside?

Default Lower Radiator hose, Something inside?

Theres something inside my lower radiator hose feels like a bolt or something, im not sure what the heck it is.. and i dont have the money to replace the antifreeze so i cant pull the hose to find what it is.

I know there's a spring like piece of metal in there. I guess to help prevent it bending of creasing.

Yea, I thought I had something in mine also, like stated above, there is a spring of plastic tube inside to prevent the tube from creasing.

Comon man!!!! Put a bucket under it and catch what comes out. then pour it back in....

Funny lol, I was just wondering this myself when I was under there the other day. I though wtf is that.. its sideways now too btw. Ohwell, its all coming apart in a bit anyways.

It sounds like it is normal by reading what the other guys said..but keep in mind that radiator hoses will expand and bubble in odd shapes when the antifreeze becomes contaminated with oil!

yep , theres an anti collapse spring. & FWIW , if you buy the gates replacement radiator hose you have to reuse it cause it doesnt come with a new one,not sure about other brands.

This... are you sure its not the spring?

omg i was freakin out big times. but then i just caught the coolant in an old cooler and looked in the tube and it was a spring.. ive never seen that before. my neighbor who builds race cars was like wtf. how have you never heard of that...
