Which battery should i go with?
While my truck (2008 V8 dakota larime) was in the shop (dodge) they noticed that my Batterry Was cracked and leaking acid. Being the battery is only two yrs old (was replaced when i bought the truck 2 yrs ago), i figured they would replace it under my warranty as defective. Nope i was wrong.
So what battery would you guys recommend i replace the crappy stock battery with?

I went with an Autocraft Gold from Advanced Auto. Works fine. Order online with code CCABIN for $40 off.
AutoCraft Gold Battery, Group Size 65, 850 CCA

Both Advance Autoparts and Autozone Gold series are good batteries but if you want to talk warranty go with Autozone, both store info under phone numbers but Autozones can be found anywhere in the counrty at any store with only the number you used at purchase But with advance you have to have the rep call the store you bought it from and then they have to get a transaction code from your history so they can find that info in the store you are in ... (pain if you are in different timezones or the stores closes at different times or if you dont have the receipt- which we all know Fade out) .. I have also noticed that After 3ish years warranties are gone from the history at Advance (even if they are Lifetime)
As others have stated, warranties can be a bit tricky with batteries. Keep the receipt in your records.
dakotaff's suggestion isn't bad. I had a Autocraft Gold in my 2001 Ram 1500 when I traded it in. Still have one in my wife's 2006 Durango as well. That one is almost two years old now and going strong.
Another brand I've always been curious of is is AC Delco batteries. Not because they are any better than the others, but because if memory serves, their nicer batteries come with a 7 year free replacement, rather than this 3 year or so free replacement and 7 year pro-rated.

My next battery is going to be a Optima yellow top like what blown287 posted up I've heard nothing but good things about them.
