Painting factory rims. What did you use?

Wetsand with a 400, primer, then the black rustoleum truck bed paint... 2-3 coats of that. You definitely want to do the wet sanding though, if its not ruffed up a bit... then the primer/paint will not have anything to "grab" onto. Good luck I am going to be doing mine this weekend.

I am getting ready to paint my rims this weekend with the duplicolor spray paint... there is a neat trick I learned from a video online instead of taping around the rim use index cards inserted between the tire and rim make sure to overlap them easier than worrying about getting the tape to curve.. you can also tape the index cards once they are in place maybe

That's exactly what I did when I Plasti Dipped my rims, the index cards worked great!

Painting your stock rims definitely changes the look of your truck.
