Default Possible Trade from 07 ST to 06 SLT?

I am relatively new on the forum and trying to soak up all I can. I currently own a 2007 QC 3.7L 4x4 with 163500 miles. I have replaced ball joints adn the usual front end issues. However I currently have an opportunity to get a hold of a 2006 SLT QC with a 4.7 and 4x4 with about the same miles. I am looking for thoughts if I should make the swap or not. By the way this would be a no money cost as it would be an swap with my father. Thoughts? Thanks for all of your insight.

personally, anytime I could upgrade from a V6, especially in these trucks, where mileage is *******ly the same, I would. Thats a lot of miles though.

Mileage does not really scare me I have had a 4.7l in an older generation that was a 310,000 before I sold it.

How much money will you be losing by trading up? I would do it in a heart beat if it was minimal cost. Just be prepared to do all those balljoints and front end stuff again.

As long as your dad is ok with it, you should have no reason not to swap rides.

V8 all the way!

Tell your dad gas is almost $4/gal so you'll need $1000 to even up the deal.
