it's either on the oil filler neck or the back of the drivers side valve cover.

Bummer if its back there, mine is right at the oil filler. The hemi has a nice twist off one right in the intake, and the hoses are just tunnels integrated into the intake manifold. Makes me wonder why there isn't a more general design among chryslers engines.

I don't know man..I don't see why it would be designed differently in 2005 and 2006..atleast 2007 is the year when they started running 5W-20 in the 4.7 and then 2008 is the 302 HP model..kind of dumb to see difference between yours, mine and Kent's. All 4.7 non HO

The original 4.7L V8 design had the PCV valve in the filler neck. However, there was a TSB to relocate it to the rear of the driver's side valve cover after there were complaints of moisture collecting in the PCV valve located on the filler neck and then freezing at cold temperatures.

The reason I figured this out is because I went to replace my wife's 2006 Durango's 4.7 PCV, only to discover it was not where it was supposed to be. After an exhausting search of the internet, found this TSB. Yes, it is for Dodge Rams, but it applies to the 4.7L V8, and I am pretty sure (can't find them anymore) there are equivalent TSBs for any Chrysler vehicles that came with the 4.7 before they made the drivers side valve cover the factory location. My wife's 2006 had it there from the factory, supposedly, so I am guessing the 2006 model year or there-abouts is when they made the change.

Beware, parts stores are clueless about this change/TSB, so they will still try to sell you the old PCV valve. Even my local Chrysler dealership tried to tell me I still had the old valve. I had to go to Rock Auto to find the right one. If you have the valve in the valve cover, here is the part:

AIRTEX / WELLS Part # 6P1279 {#53032925AC, PCV410}

And only $20 + shipping. I love Rock Auto.
