Exclamation Quick help

im having trouble installing my new hipotek tb and need quick help.
cant seem to get these out, dont know if im using the right tool. the lower one that is that is attached to the sensors.

They are held in by torx head screws and once you get the screws out, they will need some "persuasion" to come out, especially the bottom one. It's easier if you just disconnect the elecrical connectors and remove the tb with the sensors installed, then you can get to the screws easier and use a bit more force that is required to remove them.

Yep, torx head. If you used an Allen wrench, you may have stripped them out. that oxidation is as bad as rust. If you get the right torx bit it should work, otherwise you'll have to break the heads off and buy new screws. No biggy though, I got mine at homedepot.

Im using the right torx head now, found it, but that top right one is a real B*$#H right now. Could i put something on it to get it out.

yeah, it's in there in such a way the torx head is at an angle. Did you take the TB off yet? It is much easier that way. You could try a flat blade that fits in the torx openings or if you can get a small pair of channel locks or locking pliers on the head, but that will tear the head up.

Twist an pull is what help me to get mine out... err that sounds kinda bad I am talking about after the Torx screws are out...

finally got it all together and working, everytime i sit down to do a 15 min job it turns into an hour or two haha.

Yup, they are fun. Bottom left is the IAC, or intake air control, motor, and the top right is the TPS, or throttle position sensor.

Had to replace the IAC when my wife's Durango had some idle issues at about 85,000 miles. Not fun at all getting that guy out of there.
