Default power windows

i bought a 2005 dakota back in Jan. Power nothing. I would like to install power windows. Does anyone know if my truck is prewired for power windows and door locks?

Trying to figure out if it's better to buy a conversion kit or just new regulators and switches.

I got best buy to do power locks with keyless entry for like 250. It is generally a free install with hardware purchase.

I also added cruise control by getting a servo from the junk yard and the steering wheel switches. All the wires where ran, i just had to plug everything in. The holes for the server were even on the fender. The dash indicator doesn't come on, but I don't feel like paying for a starscan for a light.

I considered looking for hardware for power windows. It would be nice to have it for the passengers or rear sliding atleast.

Did you ever find out if the doors are pre-wired? I just replaced my '92 Dakota LE w an '06 Dakota ST (29,000 miles) and want to add power windows and locks. Figure I can get door cards (as the brits would say), actuators, etc. at a recycling yard and hopefully reinstall without running new wiring.

Thx

I think most wiring is inplace, I installed Fogs, all the wiring, Relays and Fuses where in place, I just needed the Switch, Housings/Lights and it Star Scanned.

Dodge Starscanned it for free, Mostly because the tech that looked at it said it didnt need it, So I made him call the head tech who came over from there shop with it, because he knew that was what it needed.

I would think the doors would have it, Maybe not in the door itself, but a connector close to the door jam/hinge.

You would probably need:
Switches
Actuators
Door Wiring
FOB Key(s) (Programmed by the Dealer)
Star Scanned (To Turn on Power Locks)
Maybe even a Wireless Receiver for the Fobs

On my 2005, the doors are NOT pre-wired. While Dynamatting both the internal and external panels of both doors, I found the only wires they contained were for the speakers and door-ajar sensors.
