Default Time To Replace...

My shocks and struts. Have 86k on the truck with the originals still on. Ordered Monroe Sensa Trac load adjusting shocks. Got them from Amazon for $95 and change, free shipping. Next will be the Monroe Quick Struts from Rock Auto when I save up enough cash.........$163 each. (Amazon doesn't have them for my truck)

Need to stop doing this when I hit road dips on the highway........lol

You could have saved about $25 here, or $44 here. But you'll love them nonetheless.

You'll have the same setup as I do. Been a bounce free ride so far!

No....Not ordering those. Getting the Quick Struts. Comes with new springs and everything already assembled. Truck does not seem to have a rust problem so they SHOULD go on with no problem

Finally installed my Sensa Trac Load Levelers in the rear. Went well thanks to the tip about jacking up the truck by the frame............

Just checked my bank balance and realized it's time to order the quick struts, so that is done. Now ready for any installation tips from the talented guys and gals on this forum......................

I already have those rear shocks..let me know if yours make noise over bumps or if its just mine that do. Ordered the same struts as you too, just not the quick struts. Mine were $63 each

Have only gone around the corner with it so far.....didn't hear anything. The back does feel stiffer than before, though. Also seems to be slightly higher..... Will let you know if anything comes up.

I ordered the quick struts cause they are supposed to be easier to install, and being complete, everything is new. These were 152.75 apiece from Rock Auto.(5% discount code saved $16.08). Shipping ended up to be $34.56 cause they are being shipped from 2 locations. Don't really understand why that is. Anyway, can't wait to get those on and stop the bouncing . My son is going to assist in the install. (Likes getting his hands dirty and is pretty good at that stuff.) Has a 97 Jeep Grand Cherokee and a 2000 Firebird 5.7 L. that he does mostly all work on himself.

Do a search - there is an installation "How-To" on here somewhere that will help with tips and tricks.

Good luck - I'm hoping to get through to next summer before I need struts up front. Did rear shocks and sway-bar links a couple weeks ago.
