engine idle stumbles, engine stalled
I replaced the IDLE AIR CONTROL valve O rings (one was broken) and cleaned and checked the valve, cleaned the throttle body and I still have a stumbling idle and when I started out of a parking space, the engine quit. It started right up again and runs fine but this irratic idle is making me crazy. Truck is a 4.7 liter v-8 with 50k miles on it. It just runs good except for this issue. Is there an electrical check I can make on the valve?
The 2000 Dakota I had before my 05 had the Crank Sensor go in it, Causing it to idle rough and stall out unless it was kept at ~1000 RPM. It would die especially when braking/stopping.
It was a V6 3.9l auto tho.
Thats the only think I can think of, But I have not been tinkering with Cars to long only like 2yrs so. Someone will chime in with other things it would be.

Does it only stall when you have it in Drive? Have you had the transmission serviced since you bought it, or has it been done before you bought it? If the filters weren't properly installed, it can cause a stalling issue when in Drive.
