wheel spacers work but the only problem i had with my last truck was the caused my tires wear unevenly and i have an issuse with one of my front wheels bcuz the spacer caused some much stress on the wheel that in year period (deployment) wen i got home it acutally cause my wheel to warp... but being these are Dakotas and not a 2500 Cummins it might be different not sure yet

Just a Thought

How wide are your wheels?

265's will be a good size, no need for anything bigger.

It's a lot better for the front end going with a 2" kit. Also, the extra 1/2" won't allow for a bigger tire anyway, go with the 265/70/17's and you won't regret it.
Same size on my truck below.

I see the problem being if you really work the front suspension. the cv joints will actually bind if the wheel droops too far. may do the same thing with a 2" kit, I'm not sure.

My wheels are stock 17"x8" aluminums.
I wont be doing any serious offroading with the truck, And I like the idea of the Rough Country kit........ I also like the daystar kit but the website says it wont work with Trucks produced after 3/09?

Well, I have not had any leveling kit caused issues with mine, but like I said, mines a road queen. Parking lot speed bumps are about as radical as I get...lol...but, like Dakotaff said, you will never know the difference, nor I doubt you could visibly see a difference between 2 and 2.5" imo and it won't make any difference in the tire size you will be able to fit.

Im thinking I may get the Rough country kit........ For the amount of offroading I do I dont think it will make a difference.

I am of the school of thought that the factory front end parts are going to eventually fail either way. I will replace everything with quality, greasable parts when they do.
