Default So, I got my tuner! Now what?

So I downloaded to software updater from superchips.com and I keep getting an error saying I'm missing a file, a dll file. MSVCP100D.dll to be specific.

What to do?

Its a 3865 Flashpaq. I've only wanted one of these for a few years. Hopefully, it'll solve a few of the issues I'm having.

How old is it? If it isn't too old and you know its been updated somewhat recently then I doubt there is much change in the software..I didn't bother updating mine because I read on here how bad the SC site is and that it takes forever to download or doesn't work. I would just plug n' play brother. Try the different tunes and see what you like. I rock Tow tune AKA Torque tune

I like Steve's method, probably your best bet.

But, if you're determined, here's some questions and some things you can try;

+ What operating system is your PC running?
+ Try downloading it again.
+ Try loading it on another PC, be aware it can take forever to get it to do anything even if you don't get the error.
+ Call tech support and get the feeling that you know more than they do.
+ Give up.

I've been able to update my tuner a total of one time since I purchased it. Tech support is no help, they blame everything on wireless networks (the only thing I have that still requires you to be hardwired to the computer to update). Just install a tune and be happy you joined the club....I ran the 87 performance for a long time, but switched to the tow tune using the sc trans tuning with that and am very happy with it. I run all my tm at 0%.

I bought one six months ago. Tried 2 different computers on two different networks(one wireless, one not) and have not been able to get the program to run properly. I did get it to go well enough to do an update. It seems to communicate fine once connected to the website. My issue is that the program does not display properly so I have to monkey around to get the program to do what it want it to.

Its a good thing we don't have any other choices......

I would do a google search on MSVCP100D.dll and see if you can get that file. If you can drag and drop into the pc and see it that works. Maybe that file got corrupted when updating, sometimes that happens with computers.

Well, I give up on finding the dll file, for now. Just went out and installed the tuner. Will see if I see a difference this evening when I go pick up my wife from work.

Here goes nothing....

Wife called and didn't need a ride, so test drive is set for tomorrow.

BTW, the updater now works.... Oh joy. Of course, after I run the tuner on the truck...

Not to thread jack but I just scored a locked Cortex 3950 for $20.

Dropped the $100 to unlock it and when I ran the update I recvd the Database 5 error g-6F. So I just spoke to tech support and they stated tonight when I get home from work I will be able to plug it in update and Bam-a-lam I should be able to tune the truck. From there it is burn out city Or so I hope.

If all plays out I say I stole the Tuner for the price of $120. Keep em crossed
