Default Projector Headlight Retrofit

Has anyone done or thought about doing a projector retrofit to there headlights. I have been looking at possibilities and even being a DIY it would be cheaper than the aftermarket projectors I see on Ebay etc.

I've thought about it ... and I was looking into it seems easy enough if you are a little handy and patient .. I'm not into the Halo lights so I was thinking the DIY myself ... I am going to do this on my 1995 impreza and after that to the truck if I keep it.

Looking at videos on youtube and other tutorials, It seems if I get the Bi-Xenon kit, I will only need one projector per assembly. And the kits make it where if you use the same hole as your bulbs use (with a little trimming) the light will mostly have the stock alignment. I will be ordering a pair of the night runner headlights, retrofit kit, and HID kit. This is going to look awesome.

but after you order all those pieces, will you still be under the price of the others? I got mine for $160 from K2 Motorsports.

I second Dragon on this one, I can get his same light now on Ebay for $135 shipped. Is it worth the effort after all the items you purchased. Also anyone know where to find night runner headlights? All I keep running across is non-oem black casing ones. Thanks

Amazon Amazon

you might be able to buy the projector style like you have on ebay cheaper but you wont have the "factory look" and I have yet to see a set without the Halo Rings and all the Extra LED's

And not that this matters to the original poster, but I haven't seen a set yet for the 2008+ Dakotas. A custom job is about the only way to go for 2008-2011s, just FYI.

I bought mine from here: https://www.mopar.biz/product_info.p...oducts_id=2256

Had to call to order them, was told that must be a pricing mistake and that they shouldn't be that low but I told him to check the website and they honored the price. Considering it's been many months now and that price is still shown you shouldn't have any issue getting them to honor it. I've bought from that site a few times, it's run by an actual dealership (they've answered the phone with the dealership name a few times). Everything I've bought from them has been genuine OEM and I haven't had any real trouble with them so I wouldn't hesitate to use them despite the weirdness with the headlight price when I called.
