So after taking the screw out, it slides forward like a a little then just stops. Any help here?

Try tilting it down in the front before you slide it forward. I'm not sure of the exact procedure to get it out, but I didn't have any issue opening it up. The owners manual might have some information about it, there should be a section regarding changing bulbs. There is only the one screw, so you're going to have to shift it around a bit until it comes loose. Remember there are wires connecting it all, so don't try to force it.
