I'm in process of installing the Monroe 58650's on my truck. They weren't strapped closed (I didn't see any in the box) so I had a tough time compressing them. I still have the passenger side to do. You might be able to take a tow strap or tie down (that can handle 1200-1500+ work load) and tighten it down to compress the shock. I think you'd be able to allow the strap to slide on the top. I just used a 3.5 ton jack to compress and the wooden part of a hammer to line up the bolt on the driver's side.

Monroe Load-Adjusting Shocks 58650, Are sold in Pairs (Rear)
I heard Monroe and Rancho are the owned by the same company.
I have the 58650 Install on my 05 Dakota
I forgot to measure the change in height before and after the swap. But it seems around a inch or so.
I have only towed a small trailer since I installed them, Have not hauled anything heavy either.
I did move a Cable Spool Trailer at my work, which was about 2500lbs on a pintle hitch, and the truck dropped about a inch
Edit: I compressed them into place with a floor jack, Pass side one was a pain tho

I've had both mats. The Husky liner mats go up a little more than the Weathertech Digitalfit mats, especially in the left 'dead pedal' area.

Weathertech on top of the Huskyliners (they are lifted up a little obviously)

The rear mat is practically the same on both sets. Plus both are Made in the USA.
