Hey guys just bought my 06 Crew 4.7 Dakota.
Mileage is way better then what i was getting with my 5.9 98 Jeep!
But power on the other hand is quite a difference.
1.Suspension
First thing i notice on this truck is how bouncy/swavy the rear end is.. i need to use this truck to haul some equipment in the back and pull a small camper. The suspension is def gonna need to be upgraded! I would like to get a small 2 inch lift also.
What are the best options for a 2 inch lift and stiffer rear end?
Ill be getting a upgrade on different rims and oversize tires at some point.
2.Next is Intake/Exhuast/Programmer
Im just going with the ebay specail intake that i will mod if need to. http://www.ebay.com/itm/320917826055...84.m1497.l2649
What model programmer should i grab. Flashpaq 3865? does this have everything i need? http://www.carid.com/2005-dodge-dako...ips-67439.html
And Exhuast... theres so many different options.. Id probably like a single side exhaust. But what brand gives us the best meaty tone and better air flow for power and mileage?
Links would be very much appercaited..
PS My brother and i make and sell fabbed up bumpers and rock gards for our Wranglers, which i see theres nothing for the dakotas! would anyone be interested in these for our trucks?

For the tuner, not sure where they get the "regular" price of $475 from. Its the same $380 price on Superchips's website, I believe.
If you are patient and careful, you can get a nice gently used unlocked unit off of eBay or the sale section here. I got mine for about $225, in original box with original documentation, cable, etc. off of eBay a few weeks ago.
You did find pretty much the best unit for our Dakotas, with one exception. Another one to look at since you have a 2006 is a Hemifever tuned SCT. Brand new "canned" tunes for $275. Hemifever@aol.com, his name is Sean. Awesome guy to work with, I have one for my wife's 2006 Durango that has the 4.7.
He admitted to me that Superchips has better transmission programming than the SCT, but that the SCT has slightly better engine programming. Personally, I'd do the SCT. I'd do the SCT for my 2010 if it was offered, but alas, 2006 is the newest the SCT does for Dodge/Chrysler products.

Superchips is definitely a must have, and for some reason it's really cheap right now, $265 = $5 shipping.
Buy it right now, how this usually works is someone buys one and the price shoots up immediately.
That's how I got my Airaid CAI. it was $144 and shot up to $266 immediately after me buying it.
(I guarantee anyone who see's this post and wants one will buy it.)
Definitely replace your shocks and struts while you're at it, Rancho and Monroe are great choices.
I would love to see what you come up with for the bumpers.

I'm not sure which are the best for towing, I'm running Ranchos all around. Don't really tow though.
The Monroes are cheaper if you go that route.
