Default Ford Injectors

Ok after reading all the hooplah about the 4.6 injectors I figured why not give the truck a little bit more power to go with the new tires and lift ive got on the way. So my questions are.....#1 how much actual power increase can I expect and #2 how hard is the install.

no really power, just a better spray pattern. simple install, relieve the pressure from the fuel system, unbolt the fuel rail and simply pull up, all 4 injectors will pop up, but after reinstalling the injectors, take a little vaseline and rub it on the new rubber o=rings then install

Don't you have to have a tune also, or your just adding more fuel without really doing anything??

No tune is necessary and you're not adding more fuel just getting a lot better spray pattern that makes for a more complete combustion of the fuel.

These are the cobra ones we are talking about right?? If it is a cleaner spray pattern for a better burn does it do anything for fuel economy?? I am assuming if it does it is minimal

They don't have to be from the Cobra and as far as increased mpg goes that all depends on your right foot.

Yeah, if anything I think if you kept the same driving habit it would actually benefit fuel economy since it makes combustion easier with same fuel levels

I am sure this has been beaten to death, but so injectors for any 4.6L ford engine would work? even out of a junkyard crown vic that is only a few years old?

In the 3.9, 5.2 and 5.9 I'm positive they will but don't believe they will in the 4.7.

I've explained the Ford 19# fuel injectors in this thread on what will work and how to tell which injectors you need for your truck.
