has anyone taken their front resonator off? i know lots of us don't have the rear, but I'm wonder about the front, or is it against emissions?

cut it off, it is completely unnecessary. I don't have mine and I don't think 90% of us with an exhaust system have it

I have header -> cat -> ypipe -> muffler -> exhaust tips which is all you need (And o2 sensors which are attached but not part of the plumbing)

The resonators are only there to reduce noise, so feel free to remove it. It doesn't effect emissions at all.

Man,all this exhaust talk. I really want to upgrade to the MBRP Cool Duals with a Magnaflow Y-pipe. Don't be surprised to see me follow Bobby and Billy's footsteps gentlemen..AutoAnything needs to have a big sale! I already have a $60 off code though..

Ok so lemm get this straight...when I swapped out my stock exhaust for a Magnaflow I took off the "REAR" resonator...and there are still two more up front between the y pipe and the manifold? Great...so can I just take them out and replace with regular pipe clamped in, or am I gonna have to get tacky with a mig welder?

The 2 can's in front of the y pipe are the catalytic converters which if you remove those you won't pass inspection in just about every state. Plus I'm pretty sure the truck with throw codes.
