Cruise control??
Well, after a couple of days of this post i got a check engine light on....took her to autozone and they check with the code reader and guess what??
The brake pedal switch was bad...bought it, changed it and they cleared the check engine light and now my cruise control is working again!!

Go get you a cheap OBDII reader. There out there for less than $50. It will save you a ton of money. And impress your friends because you can check codes for them as well....
