both my wheel bearings are shot and I am at 102,000 miles...

if it doesn't wiggle when you shake the tire, take that and the brake caliper off, and spin the wheel, if you hear gravel like sounds... probrably shot.

Mine had no play whatsoever @ 6/12 or 9/3 but it sounded really bad when I spun it without the wheel and the noise in the cab was horrible

Also could be a vacuum leak..whirling is a much better word to hear than squeaking or grinding. Easier to diagnose hopefully

Whirling noises are typical of grease depleted componants, wheel bearings, cv joints ant u joints. But an alternater will whirr when going bad. Also check for vacuum leaks. Turn on heat when checking vacuum since that is operated by vacuum also.

i look at the front end, looking for anything out of place an such, like grease marking, things that look wet for no reason, nothing, spun the wheels no weird sounds. I dont know how to check the vacuum leak. but maybe im checking in the wrong spot, after i looked i drove it for a minute, and the sound is just everywhere( i thought it was the passenger side because it was louder, but as i moved my head around the cab it changes.) it just sounds like a louder road noise, above the sound of the tires

Check the drive shaft U-joints and CV joint if you have it, those would be located underneath you when you're driving, so they could sound like they're everywhere.
