Default Need a Gauge Cluster

I have a 05 Dakota 4.7 auto. My odometer is in error. I need a cluster
the take care of the problem.

Have you tried disconnecting the battery for a half hour or so?

These are pretty easy to swap out, and they can be as cheap as $45 shipped. Pick one up from the link below:

I found a couple for 50 to 60 dollar range. I think i'll go that
way and change it myself

No problem, this thread will help you out. I don't remember if I had to remove my radio bezel during this process, you can try and skip that step at first and remove it only if you have to.
And make sure you don't turn the key 'On' without both plugs reattached or you'll get a CEL and numerous error codes.

Instrument cluster removal

That's the problem with mine is the error code
On the odometer.

What I meant about numerous error codes was error codes that can be read with a OBDII scanner. The instrument cluster would function normal except for the CEL light being illuminated.
I did this too and just reset the error codes with my SC programmer.

FYI, these were the error codes that showed up on the scanner:

1. U1411 - Implausible fuel volume signal received
2. C2206 - Vehicle configuration mismatch
3. U0021 - Can B Bus (+) circuit open
4. U0024 - Can B Bus (-) circuit open
5. U0184 - Lost communication with radio
6. U0155 - Lost communication with cluster /CCN
