Question Truck Feels like its Missing

I have had this problem for a while, If im driving my truck at any speed under 50, at a constant rate, will say holding 1500 rpm or so, it fells like the truck is missing or trying to shift.

Truck is on 08 laramie v8, i do have it tuned with superchips. It did it on both tunes used, performance and now towin.

anybody have any ideas?

Plugs, wires or contaminated fuel would be my first places to look. OE plugs and wires? Miles on truck? Any codes? Have fuel and air filters been replaced?

Plugs r new and coils r new. Its done it on many tanks of gas. Regualr and flex. Fuel filter is new as well.

No trouble codes or ses light. And truck is just under 60k

Air filter is a k&n fipk and it has been cleanded and oiled

Just curious, did you try returning it to stock with the tuner?

Default Similar problem

Check out this thread. It is "Engine miss at speed". Doesn't give any resolution but it sounds like a similar problem.

https://dodgeforum.com/forum/3rd-gen...t-speed-5.html

Here Is what I posted awhile back:

It seemed to start when I found a pending code for tranny "low pressure" or something similar @ approx 36K.
I did a filter change with a Wicks filter kit and Mopar fluid.
That's when I think I started noticing it. It's hard to tell, the tranny has always felt ( bought it with 20k) a little off in it's shifting characteristics.

About a month ago, I read about the Dr. Tranny Instant shudder fix. No one around here sold it but I found the LUBEGUARD Automatic Transmission Fluid (ATF) Protectant with LXE® Technology at NAPA for $10 a bottle. I bought it put it in. It seemed to help the tranny shift better but I could still feel the hesitation/shutter/miss between 35-50.

I then read that people were having problems with the Wicks filter because Wicks had copied the original Mopar design.
So at 56K now, I did a fluid/filter change with Mopar OEM filters and fluid.
Still has the same symtoms.

There are 2 other wierd quirks the tranny has. when I shift into reverse in the moring there is a noticeable RRRRRRRRRRRRRRRack. It's done it for 2 years now since I bought it.

The past week or 2 (getting cold in the morning) it almost sounds like a slight ring or whine while its warming up in the driveway. Almost like you can hear fluid flow or something from the bell housing.

Been dealing with it for years, have never found anyone that fixed it. My 08 jerk around periodically at 35-45 especially when cruising steady (about 20% of the time). I think its a bad batch of transmissions. Plugs, tunes, throttle bodies, didn't fix anything for me.

Fuel filter is inside the gas tank with the pump. Putting the pump and filter outside would make to much sense.

I know and that's why I was told by the Dealer the fuel filter is not serviceable 'cause the gas pump comes with the gas filter attach together and it's very expensive... Just my 2c
