Factory command not working!
For the longest time i had a check engine light on which i thought was the problem to my command start not working but yesterday i got the problem fixed and my check engine light is now off for good. The command start still does not work though. It will flash once and lock the doors but doesn't start the truck. Does anyone have any ideas?
What was the code? What did you do to get the code cleared? Did the command start work before the CEL came on or did it quit at the same time the CEL came on? What exactly is command start? I've never heard of it.
Yes i clicking the button twice lol
And no i haven't checked the batteries, but everything else works and the lights flash once.
The CEL has been on since i purchused the truck, and no i havent cleared the code i just fixed the problem which was p0073 which is ambient air temp sensor and the engine light is no longer on.

Let's see if this works:

Here is a link to the remote start intall manual. I know, it says for a magnum, but don't worry.
Go to the programing information and follow the instructions. It may have to re-learn some of the commands. My programing switch is a little red push-button tucked under the dash extension near the steering column. It is "installer's choice" so you may have to search around. Mine didn't work, then just started and quit, now works great, once I got the programing sorted out.
I have a better copy of the manual than what is shown in the link, but couldn't find a way to post, and forget where I found it.
Cheers!

Is there a hood switch? I thought I read somewhere that they can stick and prevent the starter from working. Worth taking a look.
Found it.
