Engine noise like clicking and whirring
I hear clicking a whirring when I start my truck, not sure if its a sign that maybe the alternator or starter is going or what. Tried using belt dressing and didn't help. Gonna try using some lithium grease spray on the pulleys.
Any idea what it might be? It started once it started to get cold out. Goes away a lil bit when truck warms up but is still there

As stated above, the clicking is most likely the self-adjusting valve lifters after the oil runs out of them. The thinner the oil, the more prone. Known occurrence, generally considered normal by the technicians.
As for the whirring, it's probably the cooling fan clutch engaging for a short moment on startup. Without the service manual handy, I believe it has to do with the fluid in it draining out of the hub, or something to that effect. Should go away within about a minute.
