Default Suspension Lift Kit?

So, I was looking around the forum, and I failed to find anything about a good suspension lift for us 3rd Gen'ers. Which got me thinking, if I wanted to raise my vehicle, would I need a custom suspension lift? A body lift is out of question. Thanks in advance!

i am no expert in the matter but from what i gathered there are very few options for suspension lifts for our trucks. I know the company Jack My Ride has a lift but according to their website it is some serious cash. Quite a few people have leveling kits up front and some added blocks in the rear. I'm sure some of the others will be here soon with some more info for ya

Unless you go jack my ride (lots of cash), your out of luck other than a leveling kit and lift blocks...unless you got the cash (a lot more cash) for a solid axle conversion.

Dang. So other than a body lift how can I get bigger tires? You said a leveling kit and blocks? What are those exactly? I have peeked at those subjects never found much info on what they actually do, just what the components are.

The best way to do it is still a solid axle swap, but it can get pretty expensive, depending on what design and which components you use. The JMR kit looks like it's pretty well made, though, and would probably be a good option if you want to keep the IFS.

A leveling kit comes with different torsion bar keys that will let you "adjust" more height in the front and the blocks go between your rear springs and axle to lift the back.

What mod, if any, do you have?

It's a little stiffer now, but not bad.

Do you have a link to the JMR SAS you mentioned?
