Big WTF after my nerf bar install. (PICS) Help Please.
So I ordered some ebay nerf bars and did everything per directions.
Front sits tucked in way closer to the frame than the back.
BTW Both ends are exactly the same length so they're NOT on backwards. The only thing I can think of is that the front mounting bracket was the wrong one.
Anyone else run into this issues?

I had a similar set of nerf bars, but never got around to mounting them. But the front and rear mounting brackets were not the same size, not even close. By the looks of it, the front bracket is definitely wrong.
Dark and raining now, I will post first thing tomorrow morning when its light out, but like I said, mounted exactly as instructed. So annoying.
Looks like the ones on the jeep liberty's. My wifes nerf bars kick in like that, stock from dealership. Not so much on the dakotas. Nice truck by the way.

Ive had 2 sets of Ebay Nerf Bars (same style) Both of them the front and Rear Bracket have been Adjustable in and out
The boards can be on Backwards, But again doesnt shouldn't effect it like that (It would just place the Set pads in slightly different places)
Front Sets (Rusty is the 1st Set I bought, Clean is the 2nd. I reused my 1st set for the 2nd because they have the support bar, and also hold it closer to the cab height wise)

Rear Sets

I also e-mailed the seller and hopefully will hear back from him tomorrow.
The way they sit on now, they are basically useless for the driver and front passenger as they are way too tucked in to be of any use and you can't step on them properly.

Well, the front brackets are clearly shorter (closer to the frame), but I'm sure I don't need to tell you that. Are the body mounts (where the brackets are mounted) in the same position relative to the outside of the body front and rear? It looks like what you need is another pair of rear brackets to go on the front.
Have you tried switching the brackets front to rear? Will they mount that way?

I can see part of a issue, the picture helps some and doesnt some haha.
Rear: The Support bar on the Bottom of the Frame can Slide in, and it looks like the Body mount one can aswell. Loosen both of those and try to slide it in, Tighten the BODY MOUNT one first, then the Support Bar at the frame.
This should help some, But I think it might still not be "straight"
Front: It looks like the Front mount can come out aswell (body mount), But the Support bar holding it to the frame cant without some modification.
