I used a white lithium grease...it should be fine...maybe i used to much . i read that if you use oil you could burn up the water pump or power steeringpump..
its at a transmission specialist now.If the reason that it started ****in up is because i sprayed the belt..thats pretty stujpid..and you think it would be fixable..but if somethings going wrong wit the tranny then i dont know, one of the guys suggested it could be a torque converter or something? cant remember exactly what he calledit..im just hoping they donttell me its not the tranny andthey dont kjnow what it is or cant fix it...had enough towage today...

How many choices of places do you have to chose from for opinions on the fix?

If I had a transmission that smoked from it's dipstick, I would believe it was shot. A transmission shop will most likely give you a quote to repair or rebuild your existing transmission (they should also give you a warranty for this - should be about 1 year). If you want a cheaper price, you can get a used transmission out of an auto salvage yard - the tranny shop may be able to get one and install it for you for a cheaper price than a rebuild (the warranty will only be on the work the shop did, so you won't have anything on the tranny itself).

The only time My Transmission had this issue. I punched a hole thru my transmission pan and had Low Fluid. But it took about 5 seconds to engage in drive, I drove it 5 feet forward (into a driveway, as it happened on a turn) then turned it right off. It also wasnt leaking fluid very much until I had backed off the snow bank. Since the hole was packed with ice.

Once I got the Pan replaced, New filter and Fluid it was Just as good as before.
So Id say you drove it with Low Fluid, and Burned the Torque Converter or Pump

Just spoke with the shop..there telling me to replace the transmission...and they can get one from a yard.. 1200 for the transmission an 1800 after install...and still need to get my power steering pump chekd out or it could just be a line.
if its the torque converter or pump that would essentially be better...how hardis it to find those parts to fit on a 07 dak?

Hit the serp belt with some carb cleaner to get the grease off and use proper belt dressing. As far as the trannie, too me it sounds like your torque converter is shot (much cheaper) because if it was the trannie itself you would experience difficulty putting it in gear... I will bet money on a torque converter steering is probably a bad rack if your pump is not seized (shouldn't be) or leaking.. process of elimination there if you did any rough offroading recently ill bet money on the steering rack too
