Default 2nd gen bumper on 3rd gen

Not a big fan of how much the front bumper sticks out.
I know, I know. Then why did I get it? Because it's a nice bad a$$ truck.
I know I'm trying to make everything like the 2nd gen, but come on, it was my first truck, but I do want this one.

So, besides making a custom bumper, do you think there is a way to have the bumper become flush or somehow get the 2nd gen on the 3rd gen.

I've read a few places of the 3rd gen on the 2nd, but not vise versa

Grille and headlight shape is completely different. Widths aren't the same.

That is true, but is there a way to make the 3rd gen just go back a bit?

I mean if there is a little custom work, then that's fine, but I'm not talking about building a whole new bumper.

Anything can be done with proper fabrication. It's going to have to be completely custom.

So is there no way to cut the brackets from the frame go back just enough to make it flush then mount it there? Or just make a bumper?

custom is the only way. if you cut the crush tubes and relocate the square plates back further. you will domino effect about 10 different things on that truck including having to cut the wheel well portion of the bumper and maybe the part that rides along the core support. and depending on how far back you go. the front clip body mounts are right there.

To be honest, that bumper is the only thing I dislike about the truck.
I think the same thing, it just sticks to far forward past the grille.

I agree. I had an idea as well that would involve changing the bumper and the grill. I'm taking some measurements over the next few weeks. I'll let you know if I it has any potential

Okay thank you very much! That'd be appreciative.
