Help! Tire Size Question
I found a great deal on some M/T tires and am wondering how much they will rub.
Stock 2007 Dodge Dakota
The tires in question are 32'' x 11.5'' bf Goodrich Mud Terrain T/A. Will have to be mounted with 1'' spacer because rims are off a Jeep.
How much rub stock? How much rub with 2' leveling kit?
Trying to pick these up today so any input helps.

I've been using both of these threads almost daily.... also dakotaff I will have to get wheel adapters that change the lug pattern pushing the tires out 1.5''. I've heard both sides of the stories on adapters but what do you know about them on the 3rd gen dakotas?
Well, they're gonna rub somewhere, and pushing it out (spacers=lower offset) means more trimming of the front splash guard and possibly front bumper fascia (which can get ugly). A 32'' x 11.5'' mud tire may be a hell of a headache!
Wheel spacers change the load on the wheel bearings, and may need replacing with the added stress. The larger tire may speed up the process too. Of course nothing may happen at all, but I don't like the idea of spacers for my vehicles. If you do get spacers/adapters, get hub centric ones, or you may be chasing shakes and wobbles for a long time.
My advice (for what it's worth), is get wheels & tires that fit with a similar to stock offset.

Alright thank you. I think I'll have to pass on the tires for now then. I'd rather not have to trim but what lengths does "moderate" trimming extend to?

Moderate & minor trimming involves trimming of the front splash guard and wheel well liners. Both are unnoticeable most of the time, as long as you don't go too big on the tires of course. The rear tires will fit without any trimming, again with a tire within reason.
You can't even tell on mine unless you really look close.
