Default Transmission line booster

Hey all, does any one out there run the Sonnax line booster for transmission? How does it work and is it worth installing? One more where can I get one if its worth it? By the way 2005 dak 4.7 auto 545RFE trans i believe. Thanks in advance

Circle D transmissions is where I got mine. It installs in series with the connector that is behind the heat shield on the rear passenger side of the transmission. All it is, is a resistor that is in series with the line pressure sensor's signal wire. It keeps the TCM believing that your line pressure needs to be increased to max. I find that I feel it most during part throttle shifts, particularly between 2 and 3. Wide open throttle didn't change as far as I could tell.

It's impossible for a simple resistor to actually increase the holding capacity of the clutches, but because it keeps pressure at max all the time, the part throttle shifts should be noticeably firmer, whereas wide open shifts would be at max pressure anyways, therefore the resistor doesn't help much with that.

Also, it's around 50 bucks at most e-tailers, so its not really cheap for what it is. If I were to do it again, I would follow the DIY line pressure mod thread that's here on dodgeforum, just search for "diy line pressure" and you should find it. It's just a simple mod to add just the resistor to the signal wire on your harness.

I noticed a huge difference with it alone under wot. When I got the superchips and turned torque management off, I didn't notice it so much.

Did you ever get a hiss sound on downshifting with it installed? That was something I noticed right away after installing.
