Default My recent project-FINALLY

So Sunday evening, I randomly searched Dakota on Craigslist in Auto Parts, only post were some 2000 Dakota seats, the ones I've been searching for, and only $100: 40/40/20 with the fold up center seat/console

Picked them up Wednesday, started to work on them, started to get discouraged because things weren't lining up and I wanted them in my truck so bad. So we quit early, plus I had to be at work earlier than normal, so I'm at work, working on Ford parts and finally came up with some ideas, and so I raced to his house and we got working on them, I just got home from his house, it's 10:25pm, I got to his at 4:10, took us all day but we ALMOST got it all done, a few touches. My driver seat like most, is electronic, that seat lines up exactlly with the 2nd gen seat, bolt for bolt. Nothing needed to do, other than take off 6 bolts, remove seat, and rebolt it on. I used the 2006 Dakota track, and put them on the seats. The passenger seat is what took a little rigging, but got it to work perfect I think I'm the only one with 2000 Dakota seats that are electronic lol

We didn't mount the center console yet, so it's just sitting there, but I'm leaving it there so I can rest my arm on it. I took my long console out and it's been out for about 3 months now. So nice to lean to my right again.

So what's left:
-Mount center console
-Get center console seat belts
-Get longer passenger and driver click seat belt (Part that you click to release the belt)
-Mount the plastic piece on the side of the driver seat (Also mounts perfect)

These seats are narrower than the Leather, but sit taller, so the clicker doesn't reach that well. WORKS FOR NOW!

For people wondering about the AirBag Sensor, I did some thinking and I got it to where the passenger air bag off light isn't on at all. No I didn't take the bulb out. I had my friend in with me, with his seat belt on, then I told him to take it off and still no light, so in a way, that's good. I always check to make sure they have their belt on, I've seen some people not wear one and get messed up. BUCKLE UP GUYS!

I'll post some pictures of it all.

If anyone has any questions, please ask.

^Also, not the gray but like the tan colors, they will be painted black, like the seat belt cover, the "Oh-SH@T" bar and the headliner will black

Thank you, they aren't like my 2001 one seats, those were amazingly comfortable. This has a cup holder that comes out of the middle seat, but I like the cup holder that is on the floor. Heck, can't beat 6 cup holders!
To me, these are so much better, I feel like I can sleep in these! lol
I've been wanting ever since I got rid of the 01.

Is that the same as the cup holder on my console, it has the big pocket on top, then two cup holders that move and one small pocket, like whats in this picture?

Here's my cupholders. I'm cleaning them up now, there's an ink stain but I think I almost got it out. Most of the stain is under the rubber liner, and you can't see it when its in place. There's just the single vertical drip and should be much less visible when I'm done with it.
