Default Engine sounds like a jet engine

This Noise has been making me worry a bit lately, starts after going up to high speeds - being on the high way for a bit - then remains when I come off the high way. - and every time I give it a shot of gas afterwards it hums like a jet engine...

It sounds like those mornings when you first fire it up after a cold night -
you all must know the sound i'm talking about? like a heavy blowing fan.
in between humming and ZOOMM sounds

Can anyone relate??
not necessarily looking for immediate answers from anyone!
Thanks.
any reply welcome!

To start with, this has nothing to do with your exhaust manifolds

Your visco clutch fan is fully engaged. Do you have a spare from the old motor to try out? it's also possible that the radiator and fan are just barely able to keep the motor cool, and if that's the case, the fan is going to be fully engaged and blowing like a turbo prop all the time.

The same supercharger bandits should tune a turbo 4.7 while they're at it... I know just where to send them.

I put a new rad in about 6 months ago.
I am thinking the fan is overly trying to cool down the engine.

I dont have my old engine + plus it was pretty bare aside from water pump which i took plus the manifolds off hahaahha and then scrapped it, i had no where to store it i tried to dissemble the valve train but couldn't get any further after the covers lol

but when I/you start up in the morning it makes the fan do the same thing?

My heat is under hald on the guage and radiator fluid is consistent ,no leaks an topped up..

fan clutch sticking?

I am really considering switching my water pump onto the engine i have as im worried about the one i have on it going and frying my engine...heaven forbid that happens again, every time i hear a squeeking noise driving down the road i pull over and check my engine, i think I will just travel with my new/refurbished water pump from now on.

any more tips / idea/ suggestions?
cheers thanks

Oh sorry french, if thats the case - what can i do to solve? get a higher grade radiator and fan + water pump?

Open the hood and see if you can spin the fan by hand (engine OFF of course). You should be able to spin the fan pretty easily. If not, something is messed up with the fan clutch. Has it done this since the engine swap or just start recently?

keaton- Fan spins probably one rotation pretty easily with one throw of my hand...

I am still due for a tune up..
recently hearing a type of wheel bearing noise kind of..high pitch ringing..
grrr and the exhaust noise..brought it to a shop getting a wheel cylinder done, they suggested it could be a from a head. . .grrr
going to try and get in for a tune up , ill pass on all my concerns i guess see what they can come up with..
thanks

Lets keep this thread to one topic. If you start another topic, you will lose track of the original topic. Start another thread for another problem. Solve one thing at a time.

So your fan spins freely. Next, check your coolant level. After that, I would go to the thermostat and then the water pump.

On a side note, if you need a tune up, do it yourself. There is not much to a "tune up" on newer cars these days. Replace the plugs with standard copper core plugs, maybe the wires if you think they need to be replaced, PCV valve, air filter, oil change (though not considered part of a tune up), run some fuel injector cleaner through it...thats about it
