An ABS malfunction will not apply the brakes when you're not pressing the pedal (which is what I interpret your post to mean is happening). ABS only releases the brakes when it senses a lockup.
You either have loose parts in the brake drum, or something broken in the rear end (which could also damage the ABS sensor and cause the code). I'd start by removing the drums and inspecting the brakes. If everything looks good, I'd pull the cover off the diff and have a look inside.

your service 4x4 switch may very well be on its way out, its called the transfer case switch, these switches are known for having the wiring harness rub on the frt drive shaft and wearing threw the electrical coating that protects the wires to the switch, take a look under truck and see if your harness is hanging low and contacting the shaft
also if not, when was the last time you did a fluid change, could be time for a trans axle service
