I would agree with you on this except that motor doesn't operate with the remote door opener control - that's why I'm suggesting he listen to the doors.

 

Maybe but when mine was broken it would shift as soon as any power cut on so when I unlocked with keyless entry it would go in and out of 4wd a couple of times. It gets power some how.

 

Had the same problem - the transfer case motor would start cycling every time I unlocked the doors with the keyfob. It would also try to shift into 4wd low when driving which was a little scary not to mention hard on the transfer case. If I were you I would pull the fuse for the motor located in the fuse box under the hood until you can get it replaced. Pulling the fuse would also help you confirm the motor is what you are hearing.

 

That's very interesting - I guess I'm wrong. I never would have thought that an auto door opener would have interfered with a TC shift motor. Sorry about that. Pianist, I guess you can pull your ear away from the door now

lol., : Well, today I am disconnecting the shift motor after reading same issues from other dodge owner going or had the same B&%& SH$#..Dodge should have this RECALLED , I just wont have 4x4 which its ok .. Thanks Alfons..

 

Thanks i.who, After reading so many complaints about transfer case shift motor engaging and disagaging from Dodge owners I will disconnect the shift motor,. Looking forward trading it later on,. Dodge should have this a Recall..

 

Thanks Atlantic, Well I'm pulling the plug out from the shift motor.I'm not worring about the 4x4 having it.And hell yea, scary moments when rear wheels would shift to low..and my job is not close either.. Thanks... Enjoy
