Default Grille guard question?

Will a grille guard from a 2005 fit my 01 dakota if I get or make new mounts for it?

I'm sure you can make it fit if you can fabricate mounts. Be aware the body mounts where it would be installed are a royal PITA to remove.

If you get the correct mounts for your truck, then yeah.

New mounts would be needed. 05+ mount to the 2 lower body mounts and bumper brackets. Then have 2 more brackets that go over the top of the bumper.

I think you would have to make custom brackets. It shouldnt look to off on a older dak, as its (or mine is) a simple design, not overly following 05+ curves.

I purchased a Brush guard off ebay for like 100$ because it was a closeout i guess. Well. It looks like it would fit well. But as soon as I held it against it, i noticed that there would be noway for the grill to open. So i mustve got one for an older dakota or something. I couldnt return it or anything.

Slope it out more at the top of it, and it might work. But will most likely look more off.

Ok the only reason I wanted to know was because my buddie has one and want to sell it to me for cheap but I don't want it to look stupid but also want it to serve its purposes. Where can I buy some brackets?
