Cover showed up late last night. It was shipped FedEx, but showed up in a Budget rental truck.

Took about an hour to install:

Lol, yea. UPS is pulling around Uhaul trailers out here to keep up with the load of the holidays. Looks good!

Looking good. FYI, the 'Heavy Duty Shock Aborbers' and 'Heavy Duty Suspension' from your first post don't mean squat. That's what we all get.

2010 Dodge Dakota factory hitch on CL, not sure how far from you it is.

Thanks!

1. Gotcha. Wasn't sure if that was an upgraded item or not.

2. The link shows a location, but no price or picture. I know there's 2 types of hitches for my truck, but unsure of the differences. I asked about that earlier in the thread, but no one has answered that question so far. One looks like a normal hitch and the other looks like a small box.

Thanks and I never saw that before. Next thing to do is LineX the front fascia ( pic is earlier in the thread ) and the nerf bars I just ordered. After that is the exhaust and the Hypertech programmer.

Best thing to do is ask him to send a picture of what he's got, and go from there.

I mean I was asking that question here. Trying to get a definitive answer before I go buy any thing.

Those are the 2 types of hitches for my truck, but I have no Idea what makes one $160.00 and the other $100. Other than towing capacity with a weight distribution system. I understand how the bottom one attaches to the truck, but haven't the foggiest on how that little box hooks up to the truck. Someone mentioned it attached to a "tow plate", but all I see is a metal tube that runs along the backside of the bumper.

Not like when I was in the army where almost any vehicle could tow almost any trailer. (Generalization )

What's under / behind your rear bumper now?

Take a couple pictures of what you have and post them. If there's something to mount the first piece to, then that's all that you would need.

Just the long tube and the 2 holes where you put your tow chains.

(crappy cell pic )

You're going to need the second image that you posted above. I bet that's what the guy is selling on CL, hopefully with all of the bolts & nuts.

Here's a picture of it installed, it's a pic from this page.
