Advice/ Progress Thread
You're going to need the second image that you posted above. I bet that's what the guy is selling on CL, hopefully with all of the bolts & nuts.
Here's a picture of it installed, it's a pic from this page.

That's the full sized spare, factory sized. Most likely 245/75/16.
265/65/17 is my stock tire size and spare. I contacted Etrailer and they told me it would fit, but would need to move the tire forward then let it down. It won't drop straight down, as it would be making contact with the hitch.
265/65/17 and 265/70/16 are sooooo close in exterior dimensions that there is only a 0.14% difference in your speedometer reading - don't worry about your spare tire. If it fits a truck with the 16 inch combo, it will fit yours.
Both hitches will work. they both index off the bumper ball mount. The smaller one uses bolts that go into the chain holes like you mentioned and took a pic of earlier in your thread. I have the small one on my 2011 and it works great. Leaves more room under the truck and has nearly the same tow rating. I have a pic of it somewhere installed on my truck but i can't find it at the moment. The bigger one will be tight with anything larger then about 31 inches. The tire in the pic is a 245/70R16, so it's 29.5 inches tall and it doesn't look to have alot of room for anything larger. I also find that the smaller one looks better, you don't see the extra bar under your bumper.
I didn't look at the CL page, but it really all depends on how big are your tires, how much it's selling for and how far he is from you. I would do the small one if you have bigger then stock tires and for the looks. I'll take a pic or two of mine later and post it.

Smaller hitch should be here tomorrow. Now, a question about wiring. Is there any specific wire extender that I need? Or is the wiring on the trailer long enough to plug into the connection under the rear bumper?
Pic of under my bumper:

There is NO slack in the connector at all.

I have a gravel drive and do a lot of yard work. Well worth the expense ( for me ) to get them. They fit very well and no complaints yet, but only have them for 2 days.
