Default Exhaust help!!!! Asap!!!

Ok so I got the MBRP exhuast for my truck. I got the old exhaust ripped out and now the problem is installing the new exhuast. I pipe that connects to the factory Y-pipe is the EXACT same size!!!! They are both 2 1/2" and will not slide in or over the factory pipe.
Before anyone says Ihave it backwards I DO NOT HAVE IT BACKWARDS.
Has anyone else had this problem???? I do not want to drive without an exhaust waiting for replacement parts.

Any auto parts store should have a coupler, take a piece of the pipe with you rather than just measuring it.

Maybe you could have an exhaust shop expand to size for you.

This is what I would do. The coupler isn't a bad idea, either. It just adds more joints.

This is Sunday and it might be hard to find any muffler shops open on a Sunday.
Definitely having a shop expand it to fit is the best way if you can wait or find one open.

You are correct, nothing is open today. Atleast no one that wants to help. I'm going to find a shop tomorrow that will stretch the pipe.
It just pisses me off that the factory shipped it out without it being right. So MBRP will be receiving a phone call tomorrow.

Sadly, this is the second report of MBRP exhaust not expanding and notching the end of the pipe at the factory. They are supposed to come already done... Quality control is starting to slip over there.

Mine was the same way, Not expanded and notched at the Y pipe, and also wasnt notched at the Tailpipe.
Local shop expanded it for free for me, MBRP said they would ship out a replacement, But I already had the old one off like you.

Mine doesnt sound that good on my V6 3.7L either, at around 2k-2500 sounds like the exhaust leak (1 inch hole) in my muffler I had. I plan to go under and give it all a good hard tightening, But I dont want to risk breaking the fancy newer clamps.

Email them. I had mounting issues on the left tail of my Cool Duals, nothing a trip to the hardware store and some stainless steal bolts and washers didnt fix, but email them and let them know. Mine was ok with being expanded; however, not notched, but my dremel fixed that.
They are a smaller company and they will respond to you pretty quick with at least something like an email, t-shirt, hat, apologies and or satisfaction to you. I haven't had them ever give me any grief and I have made 3 purchases for my vehicles and my snowmobile.

Just remember man, the receptionist isnt the fault here.

Reject, where was it supposed to be notched at the tail?

Good advice when dealing with anyone. As my grandma used to say, "You catch more flies with honey than with vinegar."
