Default Automatic Headlights

In the auto position, headlights stay on all the time. Otherwise the switch works fine. Bad switch or bad sun sensor?

Mine did too. I just used the switch to turn them on and off otherwise they never turned off. Never looked into it that much.

Yes, they do go off after a few minutes. Its not a major problem, just wondering if the sun sensor on the dash could be bad.

If your referring to at night, its normal.
When I turn my truck off after having the headlights on they stay on for a few minutes.
I dont have auto headlights, mine are manual. If I turn the truck off, then the headlights they will stay on for a few minutes as "courtesy lights"

When the switch is in the Auto position, mine stay on all the time, (day or night) until I turn the ignition off. Then they will stay on a few minutes and go off.

I would say the sensor might be bad, since they dont stay on when the truck is off. (Mine will turn off after 20 or so minutes if left in the ON position with the truck off)

Make sure your dash is cleaned off. If you have papers on your dash, it could be covering the sensor
