Your papers are wrong. Or someone grafted an 08 front end onto your 07.

This is the 05-07 body style: http://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j...61725948,d.aWc

08+ body style: http://www.google.com/imgres?client=...art=10&ndsp=21

If I'm gonna do this I might as well make it exciting. Any suggestions or references on what engine I should get?

If you are looking for a direct bolt, the 4.7 or 3.7. Anything else like a 5.7 you are going to need to invest some time and extra money.

+3. That is a 2008+ front end, either your papers are wrong or the front end was converted to the 2008+ style.

Looking though your other thread, it looks like you sucked water into your crankcase somehow and the ensuing hydraulic lock broke your rod, which then ventilated the oil pan.

Even if you had not met with a catastrophic internal failure, you would have likely fried some expensive electronic bits. These are pick-up trucks, with 4wd to get you out of situations, not off-road beasts to get you into situations

If you want to fjord fjords, you need to protect everything that is used to touching only air.

Are you saying a 2.5" lift "block" for the rear axle or a 2.5" spacer for the front coil springs, or both? Another thing to consider, these trucks do not like spacers over 2" with 4x4. You will end up destroying the front end, expecially if you wheel hardcore, which apparently you do. Even with 2" if you continue to abuse the truck, it will make you pay.
