it could be as simple as an out put shaft or input shaft sensor failure or the transmision computer failed or the shift solenoid buggered up.

It slips when I give it gas though. It almost feels internal. Like a clutch isn't lined up.

Well I just got word on the truck. Clutch packs burned up. 17K mile tranny gone. Oh well, warranty will fix that. Hopes to get a brand new one put in.
