Default v8swap with parts truck?

I have an 05 Dakota and I can get a totalled 08 Dakota with full v8 drivetrain for 400. How difficult is it? would need different frame mounts. But how hard really? I've already removed my dash before so that wiring harness won't be too hard... I'm in school to be a mechanic, I think this would he a good swap, just not sure.

Same motor mounts, just need to change harness and transmission.

WELl, I'm not gonna do this. The guy said a collections agency has the title, that's very sketchy, I'm not gonna get it. I need the title. Oh well..

Are you swapping from a 3.7L to the revised 4.7L? Or old 4.7L to revised 4.7L?

That's how the law may see it too!

I think I would do it anyway, to go from 200hp to 300hp.

I bought a parts car w/o title back in January. It was old enough that I didn't care, neither did the junkyard after I got what I needed. An 08 could still be financed, plus price is too good to be true. I'd walk away also.
