Default Front end maintenance

I'm about to do some work on the front end. This is the rockauto shopping cart.

A) Does anyone here have any experience with the EMPI CV or recommend a different CV axle?

B) Is there no isolator between the strut and spring? I see none listed and there is not one on my truck currently.

There is an isolator...at least on my truck. Honestly, the cv axles from Advance Auto Parts are good. They are new, not rebuilds, and come with a lifetime warranty.

Well that's not good news. I can't find one on Rockauto, Advance, or O'Reillys. I've taken the front apart and there is no evidence that the dealership that the previous owner had do the work put an isolator in. Did you do the work yourself or did a shop do the work for you?

Ya I think that the preload of the spring is enough to where it will never lose contact. It definitely seems that way. Well if we're wrong then too bad because I just finished a few hours ago and will not touch the front end for a few more months

Sorry, there is no isolator between the spring and strut body-spring seat. There is an isolator between the spring and the strut mount (that mounts to the perch).
