Default Daytime Running lights issue

okay guys, Ive been having this issue for awhile now and need it fixed. I have a 05 Dodge Dakota My daytime running lights do not work. turn signal, break lights, reverse lights all work. The turn signal, break lights and daytime running lights share a ground. i have read voltage to the light. fuses seem good. so far have not seen and breaks in the wire. any suggestions?

Did they work before and now just stopped? Why do you "need it fixed"? You in Canada?

Daytime Running Lights use the high beam filament. Do your high beams work? if not, then check the bulbs.

There are two filaments in the bulbs, one for the low beams and one for the high beams. Since the high beams are used less often, the daytime running lights use that filament at a lower voltage to get some light but not the full high beam.

ok, I'm very confused. You have rear daytime running lights? I think you might be confused about the terminology. Daytime running lights are on the front of the vehicle only. As stated above, they are the high beams operating on a lower voltage. They come on automatically when the truck is started and put in drive. There are no daytime running lights in the rear of any vehicle. DRL's are mandatory in Canada, thats why I asked if you lived there. Optional in the U.S. and many car manufacturers don't offer them as standard equipment. I'm not sure any Dakota's destined for the American market came standard with DRL's.

If, on the other hand you are referring to running lights not working, (these are the other lights on your vehicle besides the headlights; marker lights, tail lights, turn signals, back up lights), then that is another story. But you need to be clearer on what you are talking about.

Please clarify what you are talking about so we can better help you.
