Default Rear Brakes

Has anyone know if there is a conversion kit for the rear brakes to switch from drums to rear disc brakes? The truck is a 2005 with a 4.7.

I've read people converting using Ram brakes. There is a thread around here somewhere.

Any idea what rear diff he has?

Disc brakes from a Jeep Grand Cherokee w/D35 diff will bolt up to the Chryco 8.25 axle.

May need a little cleaning on the center hole of the backing plate/caliper mount.

I used a Dremel tool with a sanding drum, took all of 3 minutes per side.

I got my brake set up from the 'U-Pull-R-Parts' for $50, the Grand had under 30K miles, and everything was like new.

Be sure and get the calipers, mount (backing plate) rubber hoses, rotors, etc. if pulling from a donor axle. And the four mounting bolts, as they are longer than the drum backing plate bolts.

ETA: You may need longer lug studs in the axle shafts!

The rotor is thicker than the drum where it mounts on the axle flange.
